Question about olive oil.
Do
any of you get your fats from a TBSP of olive oil? What do you eat it
with? I was wondering if I use it in the morning in the frying pan when
making eggs if I will still retain all of the fat that is in that 1
TBSP. I have no idea what the boiling point of olive oil is. Anyone
have any info on this?

i
use olive oil for my breakfast fats, since egg beaters have no fat. ill
drop in a half to full tbsp, and cook up a good breakfast and go to
town! dont worry about the boiling point, unless u blacken the oil and
make it smoke, it is safe. alternately, you could take a bit of olive
oil and spray it on low-carb toast or put it on salad.

I
just recently began using Extra Virgin Olive Oil. About 30 mins before
dinner (could be anytime tho) I have 2 cups of mixed greens, 2tbsp
croutons, 1 tbsp EV Olive Oil and 1-2tbsp Red Wine Vinegar.

I have one tbsp of olive oil (extra virgin) and one tbsp of flaxseed oil a day. I have the olive oil in my bedtime shake.

My bedtime shake is:
1 Tbsp olive oil, handful of all bran, 1 Tbsp natural peanut butter,
200g Low-fat cottage cheese, 1 scoop of Low-Carb Grow! (protein blend).

It works well in a shake. But you can also have it straight like a man (it helps to gulp a lot of water straight afterwards)

do
not EVER put flax oil in a shake... whatever you do! it will ruin it
COMPLETELY! flax oil tastes foul, so its best to shoot it and then
chase it with something pleasant, like bleach!

I was talking about olive oil.
I have tried flax oil in a shake before and it's ok. I've heard some people love the taste of flaxseed oil

Wow, I never thought of INTENTIONALLY eating olive oil. There's a lot of calories in there.
I can find enough ways to use up my "fat allotment" for the day without having to find ways to sneak it in.
Here, let me plug Kerry's Beanie Salad from www.allrecipes.com again. Love that stuff, but I cut the olive oil amount in half, and cut the corn amount in half.

i
get my fats from walnuts and fish oil mostly. sometimes almonds, pb, or
olive oil. if i use ex virgin olive oil, i drizzle it on my food. i
don't heat it at all, as some of the nutrition is lost when heating it.
